Favourite Autumn Outfit | Outfit of The Day
I have a bit of a love hate relationship with Autumn. I have bad circulation in my hands, as it is, so adding colder weather into my mix means blue hands for Emily! But, part of me does love the colder weather. I love being able to wear chunky jumpers and big warm coats with snuggly scarves. So, I thought I would share with you my favourite outfit of the season!
I love this outfit as it's just so easy to wear: chuck on a jumper, a skirt and grab a coat before you head out the door! Makes you look so put together when you only rolled out of bed half an hour before. But, the other lovely thing about it is that you can dress it up a bit by so simply pairing it with a cute pair of boots, a cute tartan scarf and lippy!
The camel coat is one of my staple pieces during Autumn and Winter as it looks so gorgeous with everything. The same could even be said about my tartan scarf, the pop of red just looks so festive and looks so cute paired with a red lip.
It has taken me a fair while to get into skirts (I would definitely say I'm a jeans sort of gal). In saying that, I love how easy it is, and how comfortable they are with a pair of warm tights (gone are the days of having bare legs people!).
I truly think that I'll be wearing this outfit SO much during this season, so comfortable and cute.
When it comes to Autumnal makeup, I am ALL about that red lip. I am such a huge fan of red lipstick, and believe that anyone and everyone can rock it, as long as you find a shade that suits your skin tone. I am truly in love with this Dior Couture Colour Lipstick in the shade 999. (It was a tester, I might add. There's no way you can buy a Dior lipstick on a student budget, let's be real! But I am tempted to go out and buy the full sized if and when I have more money to spend on such things)!
As a red lipstick is quite a bold statement, makeup wise, I have paired it a neutral brown eye, using my Too Faced Semi-Sweet chocolate Palette. By adding a little bit of gold/ copper to the look, it seems to become so much more seasonal!
