Girls' Night Out

I love a girls night out, and I love getting ready to go out almost just as much! While doing my makeup, lips I like to give it some when it comes to my lipstick/gloss. Normally I wouldn't say I'm a gloss kinda gal, but I have really been loving Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker. If you're looking for that perfect pout, look no further. These gorgeous glosses have something they like to call "superfill" technology, which gives you the most amazing, full looking lips ever. I won't lie- this isn't for the faint-hearted - the tingle is real, especially if you're brave enough to try their Super XXL Sexy Mother Pucker. But it's so worth it. They also come in 7 different shades which are both perfect for a girls night out, but wouldn't be out of place in your everyday makeup routine, so you and your girls are bound to find one you all love!

So, if you haven't realised by now, Valentine's Day is looming and some of us single guys and gals may not always enjoy this day. I find it so based around those in relationships that, when you're single you feel a little deflated about the whole thing. This is where I come in!

Yes, I have a boyfriend and have been in a relationship for two and half years, meaning we've had a few valentine's days together, but I have also been a single pringle on this day. So why not celebrate our girlfriends as well!?

My girlfriends are a big part of my support team and I feel like all of them, be they single or not, deserve to be made a fuss of on this day. In saying this, I thought it would be super cute if I could write a few posts about things to do with your girlies.

On Valentine's some of us like to stay in and some like to go out, so this is the first of two to give you some ideas of what you could do.
I do like a good old-fashioned girls' night out. Get all dressed up, do your makeup and go out for a cute dinner and drinks or maybe a little boogie.
So I thought it would be a cute idea if I could chat you through my go to makeup look for a girlie night.

Depending on if I'm going out for a dance or out for dinner or drinks will ultimately decide what type of foundation I'll be wearing. Obviously, if I'm dancing, I need a long lasting, full coverage foundation that is going to last the night, aka my Mac Studio Fix foundation which just seems to stay all day long. If it's dinner then I can go for a more medium, natural looking foundation, which, for me, comes in the form of Rimmel's Match Perfection- it has the nicest natural finish.

Brows always stay the same for, I feel there isn't much you can actually do with your brows... So I just give a couple of coats of Benefit's Gimme Brow and a little fill in with my new favourite HD Brown define pencil and then just put a little of Soap & Glory's Hocus Pocus on my brow bone.

Because we're all about that highlight, and seems to come out big time on every girls night, I love using Bobbi Browns Shimmer Brick in Peach to give a gorgeous glow and then match that with a peachy coral blush to tie the two together.

It seems us girls either go for a perfect pout or a smouldering eye when going out. In the eye department, I think a gorgeous smokey eye can't go a miss, nor can a lovely, classic cat flick- perfect tried and tested looks that we know won't fail us.

For girls nights, I love putting on my Mac lipstick in Whirl and layering Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker in Plumful over the top- it looks SO cute. But, if sparkle is more your thing then be sure to try out Nudestar! This is a perfect lipstick topper and gives that little bit of sparkle that is sometimes needed.

Of course, you then need to make sure your whole face stays on all night, otherwise, we all look like pandas with lipstick down our faces! So a quick spritz of Fix+ and you're good to go.

So there we have it, my favourite look for a girls night out! Be sure to let me know what your favourite look for a girls night out is!
