Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Colour: 'True Pink' and 'Tawny Pink'
I will admit, I wasn't always a fan of lipstick. When I was younger, I didn't quite understand what the fuss was- but I totally get it now. And I'm slowly, but surely, turning into a little bit of a lipstick junky!

I love the range drugstores are coming out with, some of which can quite easily compete with their more expensive counterparts. Yet, there is something very exciting, and special, about buying a slightly higher end lipstick. I've always been one of those people who thinks long and hard before buying something, especially when it's got a bigger price tag, as I want to make sure I'll get the wear out of it. So, as you will see, all of my higher end lippies are colours that have been in style for years and I find flattering for my skin tone!

Let's start with the cult favourites: Mac Lipsticks. And not just Mac lipsticks in general but 'Velvet Teddy'. I feel every man, woman and child love this colour, and for a good reason- it's the 'it' nude shade. It looks very pretty on pale skin tones and is just so easy to wack on, but it makes it look like you spent ages on your makeup.

Next is 'Twig' and 'Whirl'. I love twig. It's such a cute, pinky nude but a little darker than normal. This is in their satin finish so it's really comfortable on the lips. But, this does mean you need to reapply more often than the Matte ones. None the less, if you like 'Velvet Teddy' I'm sure you'll love 'Twig' too.
When I brought Whirl, it was slightly out of my comfort zone as it's that bit darker and browner. But it totally goes with those 90's vibes that have been floating around recently. It's also not as dark as you could go so it can go with a lot more looks than darker shades like 'Antique Velvet'.
All Mac lipsticks are between £16.50 and £15.50, so not too bad for a high-end lippie. As you'll see...

Now for a few that are more expensive. I am a big fan of Bobbi Brown. I love her stuff and, although it is all definitely not for a small budget, her products have never disappointed me. I have two of her Creamy Matte lip colours, my parents kindly got them for me for my birthday, and one of the Rich Lip colours. for the Creamy Mattes, I have 'Tawny Pink', which is a bit like 'Twig' and 'True Pink' which is more of a darker rose colour. These are hands down some of the most comfortable matte lipsticks I have ever worn. They seriously feel like nothing on your lips! They're also really moisturising which makes a change for matte lippies. The wear time of these is good, as long as you follow the normal no no points of any matte lipsticks aka oil! Both of these retail for £21.
For the Rich Lip Colour, I have a gorgeous vibrant orange in' Bright Poppy', this is the perfect colour for summer when you have a bit of a tan! It's so pretty but slightly out of the norm which I love. This one is roughly £23.

Last, but by no means least: The Rouge Dior Lipstick. I will admit- this is a mini my mama got, and she kindly gave it to me. Problem is, I love it too much but I don't want to have to buy the full sized one (think it's around the £25- not friendly for a student budget)! It's in the shade 999 and it jus the perfect blue-red. A staple colour we all need in our lipstick wardrobe. It's also very comfortable and doesn't smudge easily, which is great for a bright red lip!

There we have it, my luxury lipsticks! Which ones do you have? And do you have any recommendations?! xx
