Day Tripping in Brighton

Some of you may know that I recently took a little day trip down to Brighton with my lovely mummy. And can I just start out by stating- I love It. I really, really do.
Apart from the train journeys there and back, we had such a lovely day strolling around and seeing all the shops and cafes and, of course, the pier!
Since the journey down there took so long, we had to go get some food. We were two very hungry bunnies so we popped into the Gourmet Burger Kitchen, I'm a big burger fan. I love chicken burgers especially, so I had to get one didn't I? And my Muma got an apple wood smoked burger, which smelt amazing.
After a refuel, we felt we could go conquer the shops. And conquer we did. If you've never been to Brighton, you must visit it if you're a shopping sort of person. From the amazing, quirky 'Lanes' to the huge shopping centre, they have every shop you could possibly want and more. I was a tad overwhelmed by how many there were! And (if you've never been to one) you must try to find your way through the warrens of The Lanes to Choccywoccydodah. It's the most magical chocolate and cake shop you will ever lay eyes on. Everything is completely made from chocolate and it's amazing the sculptures they can make out of it, well worth a visit!
Because I'm so food orientated, we all knew we would find ourselves at patisseries and cafes and cake shops. And since I'm such a fan of Macarons, my darling mum thought she would buy me some. We came across this beautiful boutique by Julien Plumart, a multi-award winning shop that sells the most beautiful macarons in the most amazing flavours. From classic praline to Earl Grey and Yuzu flavours, there is something for everyone. If macarons aren't your thing, why not try one of their gorgeous cakes!
Since there are so many amazing shops, we had a little wonder and I was able to pick up some early birthday presents (always good!). So make sure you let me know if you'd like a post about what I get for my birthday!
Although it was only a short trip, my mum and I have both agreed that we need to go back in the summer when we have more time. But I hope you enjoyed hearing about my little day out and I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas and have a wonderful New Year- bring on 2017!
