How to give any room a lift on a budget

Left to Right: 'the best is yet to come' black and white card, 'She believed she could so she did" watercolour print and 'I'll take a coffee with my sunshine' watercolour print, all from Creative Feel Designs.

Redecorating a room is very expensive, but if you're like me, you want to add something to your room to give it a little lift. I think one of the easiest and cheapest ways of doing this is looking at your furnishings: cushions, bedding, pictures. Although these are small touches, it's amazing how big a difference they make to the overall feel of a room.

I'm a huge photo and print fan, often asking for something along those lines for birthdays or Christmas. I was having a flick through Etsy the other day and came across this adorable shop called Creative Feel and fell in love with Alina's designs. She kindly sent some over for me and I stuck them up as soon as I could. She has such a huge range or lovely quotes for really good prices, as many can be pretty expensive. So a big thank you to Alina for sending them over and for collaborating with me on this post! Be sure to check out her lovely shop over on Etsy. From classic black and white typography to the very on trend foiled look and lovely watercolour designs, she has some really lovely prints with quotes to give me that little boost I need every now and then. I'm a huge believer in the power of positive thinking, but obviously, we all need help sometimes, so these lovely little quotes and prints are perfect.

Continuing on the Photo theme, frames can add a little something to a room, along with little accessories like these decorative hearts! I love personalised bits and pieces around my room and I feel this is such a cute way of doing this. This was actually given to me as a wedding favour which one of my best friends made for her Mum's wedding, so has that sentiment attached as well.

Snippets of colour are also a good way to revamp, You can easily introduce an accent colour into your room using frames and cushions, mine are mainly white and black as I think they're a classic design and colour, and that's the sort of feel I was trying to achieve throughout my room (and it doesn't really matter on the colour of your room with these colours!).

Mirrors are also fab at giving your room a little lift, and you can often find some good priced ones in Matalan, T K MAxx etc. I love mirrors in rooms, not for vanity reasons, but it bounces light around the room to help make it feel that little bit bigger and more light and airy.

Once again, a huge thank you to Alina from Creative Feel for collaborating with me on this post, be sure to go check out her lovely designs on her Etsy site. She will also be launching her own site very soon so make sure you go check it out at the end of the month: www. and go follow her over on instagram @creativefeeldesigns  x
