How I'm Clearing Up My Skin

If you've been following me for a while, you may know that I have quite oily/ combination skin that is prone to blemishes. I've tried a lot of things in the past that work for a little while but end up either dry my skin out or just stop working.
However, I was watching a video by Sarah's Day on youtube the other day and I saw that she used a facial brush. Having heard a lot of other people using them, some friends included, I thought that I would finally give it a try. I even managed to find the same Vanity Planet one that Sarah used for a really good price on Amazon. It was around £30, but Amazon had a 10% coupon so it ended up being £27. Considering most other facial brushes are upwards of £40 I thought this was a steal. It comes with three detachable brushes: an every-day cleansing one, an exfoliating one, and a silicone one for sensitive skin.

I've been using it for just under a week now and I thought this little device would work because you're not using your hands to clean your face. Your hands being one of the easiest ways to make your skin flare up, but I thought it would take a while to really show any effect. I was wrong. I was sat talking to my Mumma last night and she just stopped and said 'your skin is looking really good at the moment, really glowy'. I stopped and thought what it could have been and there have only been two changes to my skincare regime recently: this brush and I've added The Ordinary's Virgin Marula Oil. I don't know if it's one or the other but something is working like a dream so I'm going to keep using both. Maybe it is both!

Some of you may be wondering why I use oil on my face if I have oily skin. But just because I have oily skin that doesn't mean it can't get dry or irritated. Marula oil is great if you have skin like me as it doesn't clog your pores and really gives your skin a lovely boost of hydration. Another oil I love is The Ordinary's Rose-hip oil. This one is great if you have any scars or marks on your skin. If you're in the market for any face oils I would highly recommend checking out The Ordinary. They do you quality products without the huge price tag. Better yet, they actually work. You can also check out some other pieces in my regime below. They are all great products, and not all of them have to break the bank. In fact, the Witch products are some of my favourites and they're only a few pounds!
